I JUST READ

Dark MatterDark Matter by Blake Crouch

Great read! non stop action, a little bit of science, a family-full heart. Some cliche-d phrasing and elaborate, adjective-filled narration, but that does not stop my feeling for Jason 1 and Daniela.

I JUST FINISHED...

I Am Princess XI Am Princess X by Cherie Priest
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I always like Cherie Priest's books, so I knew this would be good. Structure is critical here: the protagonist, May, solves the mystery of her friend's death (?) by following the clues in a webcomic-which is included in the book. The illustrations are stylish, yet easy to decipher for those who may not be expert graphics readers. The text of the writtten portion of the book is young-ish for YA, but develops complexity as May goes deeper. great characters-even the villains. I will definitely add this to my classroom bookshelf.
